Dude Perfect Turned Football Into Pure Chaos and It Was Glorious

Cody leaned over the goal line, yoga ball still rolling away behind him, and the golden star was his before Tyler could even argue. That first moment set the tone for everything that followed: a sprawling, absurd football mini-games competition where the rules made perfect sense until they absolutely did not. For the Dude Perfect crew, normal football has never been enough, and this round of challenges made the case for why.

Stars, chaos, and a net that gave up mid-competition

The opening Yoga Ball Blitz handed Cody a quick star after Tyler tripped and Cody stumbled to the five-yard line before leaning just enough across the goal. The real drama arrived with Football Fishnet, a game that sounds straightforward until footballs start launching at speeds that immediately redefined ‘harder than I thought.’ Cody led with five catches. Then came the moment that shifted the whole competition: a late-entry performance of eight catches, described on the spot as ‘a cold start, a hot finish.’ Kobe followed and watched his net tear itself apart mid-round, earning a sympathy-bumped score of five. Nobody was entirely sure the star would stay with him.

Dizzy Field Goal delivered exactly what the name promised. Ten spins, one field goal, shortest time wins. One competitor hit the turf hard enough to prompt the question: ‘Have you ever seen a walrus hit the deck?’ Garrett eventually survived his own wobbling performance and claimed a star at 34 seconds, though he said immediately after: ‘That was not worth it.’

The Impossible Wall Mannequin Challenge produced the line of the afternoon. After threading a football through a narrow wall cutout and hitting the mannequin on the far side, one of the boys deadpanned: ‘If I make this, I might get called up to the Avengers.’ TT eventually drove by for the star. The pool punt followed, with Cory delivering a clean kick that sent everyone else walking back to the cars early.

Blindfolded chickens, balloon shootouts, and a catchoff for glory

Blindfolded Chicken Football attached squawking chicken toys to competitors’ feet and sent them stumbling into a human wall of defenders. Kobe scored an improbable touchdown despite being blind, surrounded, and completely turned around. Garrett made it to the 6.5-yard line. Tyler was driven straight into the turf.

Wheel Spin, Balloon Pop Party, Duck Hunt, and Shooting Tree all followed in rapid succession, each producing its own small disaster. Duck Hunt turned into a game of accidental negative points, with Cory somehow landing at negative one before the round was halfway done. Shooting Tree came down to Kobe winning by one balloon with a well-placed throw, aided by a defensive effort from Tyler that ended Garrett’s chances.

Field Goal Closure narrowed the field until only Tyler and Kobe remained, both sitting on three stars. The Juggernaut put 18 footballs through a machine with random color-matching rules, and both men caught exactly ten. A tiebreaker catchoff settled it: Tyler went three for five, and Kobe needed four to win.

The moment the star finally landed

Kobe’s last catch, a one-handed grab that nobody expected to go that cleanly.

Garrett stood at the center of the group as the final star went to Kobe, the golden star already in hand. The yoga ball from round one was long gone, but the score had come all the way back around to one person holding everything.
