Someone called out for David, and the crowd erupted. The cheer that followed was the kind that fills a room from floor to ceiling, the sort of sound that stops strangers mid-step and pulls them toward it. When the room decides you are going to feel it
The call came sharp and clear above the music: ‘David! Get up! How are you feeling?’ It was less a question than a summons. The singing started, voices layering in, and somewhere in the middle of all of it David found his footing. The crowd was not waiting for permission to celebrate him. They were already there.
